What we collect

The Weight Verdict does not ask you to create an account and does not collect names, addresses, payment details or any health information. We have no forms on this site other than the mailto links on our contact page.

Like most websites, our hosting and analytics infrastructure records standard technical information when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, the page you requested, the page that referred you and the time of the request. We use this to understand which pages are read and to keep the site working.

Affiliate tracking

When you click a link to one of the companies we review, that click passes through an affiliate tracking service so the company can attribute a resulting signup to this site and pay the referral fee described in our affiliate disclosure. That service sets an identifier in your browser and records the click. It records referral attribution, not your health information — we never receive, and never ask for, anything you tell a telehealth provider.

Once you leave this site, the destination company’s own privacy policy governs what it collects. Those companies are healthcare businesses and will collect health information from you directly. We would encourage you to read their policies before you sign up.

Cookies and how to refuse them

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Doing so will not stop you reading anything on this site — the only thing it may affect is whether a referral is attributed to us, which is our problem rather than yours.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information a business holds about you, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information. To make a request, or to ask what we hold, email [email protected] and we will respond within the period your local law requires.

Children

This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.
